New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) The national capital recorded 3,882 new cases of Novel Coronavirus during the past 24 hours, while 35 people succumbed in the same period, the Health bulletin said on Thursday.
The fresh figures took the capital caseload to 3,44,318, while the death toll soared to 6,163.
According to the bulletin, 58,770 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the past one day. The recovery rate reduced marginally to 90.88 per cent. The city's positivity rate currently stands at 6.61 per cent.
Currently, there are 14,979 COVID patients under home isolation across the city, who are mostly asymptomatic or the ones with very mild symptoms. The number of active cases, which includes patients under home isolation, are 25,237.
The Health Department claimed that 10,626 beds are still vacant.
Containment zones in the city have now risen to 2,766.
The Health Department further said that Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash took a review meeting of all District Magistrates on pandemic management.
