Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials questioned Richa Dubey, wife of Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the popular Bikeru scandal in Kanpur, for about seven hours.
Confident sources said on Wednesday that Richa was summoned to the ED office in Hazratganj, had arrived with two sons where ED officials questioned her about the transactions in Vikas Dubey's bank accounts, her movable and immovable properties, income, and business. - Answered.
He said that the ED had raised many questions regarding the transactions with Jai Vajpayee with the wife of Vikas, who was killed in a police encounter. On many questions, she kept avoiding questions citing lack of information. The ED has recorded Richa's statement, based on which further investigation will be done. The ED is also preparing to interrogate some others, including Vikas Dubey treasurer Jai Vajpayee.
Significantly, the ED had filed a money laundering case in September. The ED had made the FIR lodged in the Bikeru case the basis of its case. The ED is investigating the assets collected from black money against about 36 accused, including Jai Vajpayee.
