Bulandshahr, Oct 22 (UNI) Targeting the Opposition, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said it is now time to show casteist politics a mirror and voters would now have to cast votes on the issue of development and nationalism so that all-round development of the state can be done.
Addressing an electoral meeting in support of BJP candidate Usha Sirohi in the Assembly by-elections on the Bulandshahr Sadar seat in the Numaish ground here on Thursday, Mr Yogi said that no compromises on the issue of state's development, women security and corruption can be done.
He said that be it Samajwadi Party, Congress or any other party, all of them practice a politics of casteism and corruption. They sympathise with the rioters in the country.
Mr Adityanath said that in the five years of his tenure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi worked with the spirit of 'sabka saath, sabka vikas'. Toilets were constructed in villages and cities, poor people were given free houses. Farmers were given Samman Nidhi and the poor were given gas connections. An insurance plan like Ayushmann Bharat was started under the health scheme under which the card holder gets services up to Rs 5 lakhs free.
The BJP leader said that when he had come to campaign in favor of the BJP candidates during the Assembly elections in 2017, he had promised the security of mothers and sisters which has been kept.
It had been assured that illegal possessions on properties happening under patronage from those in power will be stopped and strong action will be taken against goons and chaotic elements. Mr Yogi averred that in the three-and-half years of his tenure, all the promises which were made have been fulfilled. Power has been used in public interest so that the state can become the 'best.'
Remembering the 'messiah' of farmers, Chaudhary Charan Singh, the Chief Minister said that those doing politics in the name of Chaudhary Sahab did nothing for the development of the farmers and villages.
Talking about the sugar mill established in Chaudhary Sahab's 'karmabhoomi' Ramala longed for expansion and modernization till three years but the state's BSP and SP government did nothing. The BJP government did the expansion and modernization of the sugar mill, he said.
