LUCKNOW: Ahead of festive season, the Lucknow division of northern railway has introduced ‘Utkrisht’ coaches for festive special Begampura Express to give passengers a pleasant journey.
The AC coaches are fitted with retro reflective tape in the aisle along with LED lightings, while toilets of all category coaches are fitted with auto refreshing sensor and jet spray.
The AC coach lavatories also have shower fittings. Outer body of the coaches are painted with polyurethane while the interior has been given aesthetic appeal with traditional pattern wall paint job.
Besides Begampura Express, coaches of Sadhbavan Express, Padmavat Express, Janta Express and Varanasi-Bareilly Express are either have been converted into Utkrisht coaches or are under conversion process.
A total of 220 coaches have been converted till date.
