NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading on a positive note at 12:36PM (IST) on Wednesday.
Shares of Man Industries (India) (up 12.38 per cent), Sharda Cropchem Ltd (up 10.3 per cent), Borosil Renewables (up 10.14 per cent), Tejas Network (up 9.99 per cent) and Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (up 9.97 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Ramco Systems (down 3.65 per cent), Tata Communications (down 3.43 per cent), 3i Infotech (down 3.24 per cent), L&T Technology (down 3.11 per cent) and KEC International (down 3.07 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.56 per cent up at 14978.84 around 12:36PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 109.30 points at 12006.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 390.38 points at 40934.75.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, Federal Bank and NTPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of PI Industries, MCX India, JSW Steel, Tata Elxsi and Havells India hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while A & M Febcon Ltd., Ishaan Infrastructures & Shelters Ltd., Anupam Finserv Ltd., Primuss Pipes & Tubes Ltd., S & S Power Switchgear Ltd., Madhusudan Securities Ltd., Neil Industries Ltd., Looks Health Services Ltd., Mitshi India Ltd. and Abhishek Infraventures Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
