NEW DELHI: MidCap stocks were trading higher at 12:08PM (IST) on Wednesday.
Shares of Godrej Properties (up 7.07 per cent), Aditya Birla Capital Ltd (up 5.96 per cent), Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail (up 4.87 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 4.77 per cent) and Godrej Industries (up 4.72 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Vodafone Idea (down 1.83 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises (down 1.76 per cent), CRISIL (down 1.51 per cent), Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals (down 1.18 per cent) and Hindustan Aeronautics (down 1.17 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.87 per cent up at 14903.78 around 12:08PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 106.05 points at 12002.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 387.38 points at 40931.75.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, Federal Bank and NTPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of PI Industries, MCX India, Havells India, Tata Elxsi and JSW Steel hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while A & M Febcon Ltd., Ishaan Infrastructures & Shelters Ltd., Anupam Finserv Ltd., Primuss Pipes & Tubes Ltd., S & S Power Switchgear Ltd., Madhusudan Securities Ltd., Neil Industries Ltd., Looks Health Services Ltd., Mitshi India Ltd. and Abhishek Infraventures Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
