Min directs DCs to get seized illegal mining stock auctioned at earliest

21 Oct 2020 | 7:32 PM

Mr Mool Chand Sharma said , "waste mining materials were strewn in and around the places where mining was stopped and around places where some development works were underway."
He said illegal mining material was being collected in the form of sand from the Yamuna, stone, and boulders on Government, ULBs, Panchayati, or private land.
Valuable Government and private lands have become useless as the companies concerned have not taken care of it. In addition, such stock is also a serious threat to the environment. Therefore, it has been decided that such sites should be subjected to a special survey in a time-bound manner and should be auctioned through open bidding.
