Aluminium Stewardship Initiative announced that Yunnan Yongshun Aluminium Co Ltd has joined as a new Production & Transformation member, bringing the total number of ASI Members to 137. Yunnan Yongshun Aluminium Co Ltd is a company jointly funded by Yongxin Aluminium Co Ltd of Yunnan Aluminium Group and Xiamen Xiashun Aluminium Foil Co Ltd. The total investment of the 1st phase project is 350 million RMB. The designed production capacity of the 1st phase project is 150 thousand tons of mid-to-high end aluminum alloy flat ingot annually.

Yongxin Aluminium Co Ltd of Yunnan Aluminium Group owns the advantage of possessing low-carbon aluminium liquid, land resources, mature industrial zones, logistics infrastructure etc. While Xiashun Aluminium Foil Co Ltd has years of experience in the management of aluminium production and sheet products production and it has mature melting and casting process and technology. The advantages of the two parties are complementary.

On Feb. 8th, 2018, Yongshun Co Ltd was established and registered in the industrial & commercial Bureau of Jianshun County, Honghe Area, Yunnan Province. Starting of production was on Dec. 31st 2019 and on Jan 1st, 2020, the 1st batch of aluminium ingots were produced.
