Chennai: DMK chief MK Stalin alleged that implementation of farm bills will result in further increase the price of the already steep onions.
He took too Twitter to reproach ADMK government saying crops spoilt by rains and exorbitant onion prices are making farmers and women cry but the government is so smug with its administration.
Stalin also alleged if farm bills are enforced then there will be hoarding of onions which will cause a false shortage resulting in a further increase of onion prices.
Onion has become costlier in the state as it heavily relies on other regions like Nashik in Maharashtra where it is raining pitchforks spoiling all the yield. So, the state is facing shortage of onions.
