YAMUNANAGAR: Acting on the information of supply of spurious desi ghee before the upcoming festival season, Haryana chief minister’s (CM) flying squad conducted a raid at a store of supplying agency near Lal Dwara area in Yamunanagar city on Wednesday.
After the raid, a large quantity of desi ghee and other edible items has been found from the spot and the owners showed copies of raw bills and did not give complete information about the stock.
The team of district health, administration, excise and taxation and police departments reached the spot and collected the samples of Ghee and others from the agency outlet.
As per the information, the firm has been working for a long time near Lal Dwara area and it supplied desi ghee along with other edible items.
The health teams collected the samples and excise officials matched the record of sale and purchase from the shop.
Sub-inspector (SI) Dinesh Kumar from Haryana CM’s flying squad said the owners produced raw bills of the Ghee and told that his accountant possessed the bills of actual stock and they also could not provide information about the stock at the spot.
“Samples of several brands of Ghee in packing and stored loose in drums have been collected and further action will be taken on the basis of reports from the laboratory”, said SI Dinesh.
