The Kerala High Court on Monday dismissed the petition filed against the lease of the Thiruvananthapuram airport given to the Adani Group. The Kerala government filed a petition against this lease in August.
The central government had leased Thiruvananthapuram Airport to Adani Enterprises. After the petition was filed, an all-party meeting was called in the state against this decision, which demanded the withdrawal of the decision of the Union Cabinet. Earlier, Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation also bid for the auction of lease and maintenance of the airport. The Adani Group, however, won the lease with the highest bid. GMR Group was third in the auction. Please tell that the Adani Group was given a lease of six similar facilities including Thiruvananthapuram Airport.
