Stock market update: 29 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 35.00 points up at 11908.05 on Tuesday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: ACC Ltd; Ambuja Cements; JK Cement; Kopran; NCL Industries; IL&FS Investment Managers; Hisar Metal Industries; Godawari Power And Ispat; Bafna Pharmaceuticals; 8K Miles Software Services; Biofil Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals; Optiemus Infracom.

Overall, 27 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 23 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

In the Nifty 50 index, HCL Tech, Larsen & Toubro, Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra and Wipro were among top gainers, while Britannia Inds., ONGC, Indian Oil Corp, GAIL and IndusInd Bank were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 140.57 points up at 40572.17. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Construction, Telecommunications, Retail and IT Software sectors, while selling were visible in Auto, Trading, Agro Processing, IT - Hardware and Learning & Education sectors.
