Haryana: 21 fresh Covid-19 cases, 25 discharged in Ambala

AMBALA: Ambala reported 21 fresh positive cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, increasing the case tally to 8,732 with 235 active cases, said civil surgeon Dr Kuldeep Singh.
As many as six cases were from Ambala Cantt, five from Ambala City, three from Chourmastpur, two each from Barara, Mullana and Naraingarh and one from Shahzadpur, said Dr Singh.
As many as 25 patients were discharged on the day, taking the recovery count to 8,390 with the recovery rate of 96.08%, he said.
In Ambala, so far with 107 deaths, the mortality rate is 1.21%, and the doubling rate is 241 days, said Dr Singh.
“So far, we have collected 1,08,190 samples for Covid-19 testing in Ambala, of which, 81,557 are RT-PCR samples and 26,633 are antigen testing kit samples. In the district, we have collected 95,913 samples per 10 lakh population”, said Dr Singh.
