Four held for threatening Judge

Bengaluru, Oct 20 (UNI) The city police on Tuesday arrested four people on charges of writing a threatening letter to a Judge of the Special Court hearing NDPS cases.
The letter was received with a detonator-like object through a post on Monday. The judge was hearing the Sandalwood Drugs Racket case.
Police said the arrested accused have been identified as Rajshekhar, Vedanth, Shivprakash and Ramesh, all residents of Tumakuru district. The accused have been taken into custody and are being brought here for further questioning.
On Monday, evening, the Judge had received a letter threatening him that they will blow up his car with a bomb if he doesn’t grant bail to sandalwood accused actors Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjana Galrani and other accused in drug racket case.
The sender of the letter demanded that actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjana Galrani arrested in the case along with “innocents” arrested in connection with the DJ Halli riots case be released immediately.
