CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K S Alagiri has said the DMK-led alliance is well settled and poised for victory in the forthcoming assembly elections in the state.
“It is the AIADMK alliance, where there is uncertainty over continuation of BJP and other parties, that is unsettled,” Alagiri said in a statement on Monday.
His statement was in reaction to minister D Jayakumar's remark that the parties from the DMK alliance would switch over to the AIADMK side for the assembly elections.
"The difference in voting percentage between AIADMK and the DMK alliances in 2016 was a mere 1.1%. Even if two of the 100 people, who voted for the AIADMK alliance in 2016, change their mind and vote for the DMK alliance, the AIADMK alliance will be defeated," Alagiri said.
