BJP national president JP Nadda arrived here on a day-long visit on Monday to take stock of organizational matters ahead of the proposed West Bangan assembly elections in 2021. Sources associated with the party said that before performing the puja at Anandamayi Kalibadi temple, Nadda garlanded and paid homage to the statue of social reformer Thakur Panchanan Burman at Nauk Ghat in Siliguri.
Senior party leaders like National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and Vice President Mukul Roy also visited the temple along with Nadda. According to sources, the BJP president will hold an organizational meeting with party leaders in North Bengal. He will return to New Delhi in the evening.
