Students of Uttar Pradesh have achieved record success for the second consecutive year in the Medical Entrance Examination (NEET UG 2020). On the lines of 2019, 88,889 students who are most successful in NEET-UG 2020 are from Uttar Pradesh. While 79,974 students from Maharashtra state in second place and 65,758 students from Rajasthan at third place got success in the exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the list of successful students from the revised states on Sunday. Earlier on October 16, Tripura was named in place of UP in the list of NTAs. However, it was a human error, which has been rectified.
Maximum 88,889 students were from UP, Maharashtra at second, and Rajasthan students at third.
According to the revised list by NTA, a total of 15,97,435 students had enrolled for MBBS and BDS programs across the country. Out of this, 13,66,945 students took the exam and 7,71,500 students were successful. In NEET UG 2020, 59,404 students from Kerala and 55,009 students from Karnataka passed in the fourth position. At the same time, 23,554 students from Delhi and 22,395 students from Haryana, 37301 from Uttarakhand, 8814 from Punjab, 14743 from Jammu and Kashmir, 7622 from Himachal Pradesh, 1096 from Chandigarh, and 367 students from Ladakh have been successful.
A transgender also successful
A total of six transgenders applied at NEET-UG 2020. Four of them took the exam but only one got success. At the same time, the percentage of female students passing the exam is higher. Where 4.27 lakh girls have passed the examination. At the same time, 3.43 lakh students have passed.
