In Bahdala village of Himachal's Una district, the team of Vigilance caught the Panchayat Secretary red-handed while taking a bribe from the head. The accused secretary was demanding Rs.15,000 instead of signing the bills for panchayat works. On the complaint of the panchayat head, Vigilance has caught the secretary in a planned manner and caught him red-handed. Further action has been initiated against the accused by registering a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act.


According to the information, the Bahdala Gram Panchayat head had complained to Vigilance Una that the secretary of the panchayat is asking for Rs 15,000 instead of signing the bills for the payment of the bills. On which the Vigilance team led by Inspector Sanjeev Kumar laid a trap. The Vigilance team caught red-handed in his office located in the panchayat house on Monday taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 from the headman. The case has been confirmed by Vigilance ASP Sagar Chandra. He said that a case has been registered against the secretary and arrested. The accused panchayat secretary will be produced in court on Tuesday.
