Seven members of family arrested for married woman's death in Jalgaon

Jalgaon, Oct 18 (UNI) The Pachora police on Sunday arrested seven members of a family for allegedly harassing and forcing a married woman to commit suicide at Sangvi, near Nagardevala in Pachora taluka of the district.
After the victim Mamta Aba Patil (24) from Sangvi went missing on October 17, her husband Aba Sahadu Patil had lodged a missing complaint with the Pachora police.
The woman's body was found in a well of the Sangvi village this morning, police said.
Then, Mamta’s brother Amol Nana Sonwane (of Shindol, Soygaon) lodged a complaint alleging that his sister committed suicide after being harassed physically and mentally by her husband and her in-laws, who demanded Rs 3 lakh from her parents to run a hotel business in Sangvi.
Based on the complaint filed by him, the Pachora police arrested the alleged accused -- Aba Sahadu Patil (the deceased's husband), Nirmala Patil (mother-in-law), Sheetal Dnyaneshwar Patil, Dnyaneshwar Patil (brother-in-law), Ranjana Balu Patil, Ramesh Naval Patil and Ratna Ramesh Patil.
Police have filed a criminal case against all the seven accused, sources said, adding, further investigation into the crime is on.
