Amidst the ongoing border tension with China, now India has bought high altitude warfare kits from the USA on "urgent basis"
As per the report by the Bloomberg Quint, the Indian Army did not comment on the high altitude warfare kits. However, it has confirmed the visit of one of its top generals to the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi.
At present, the armies of India and China have been locked in a military standoff for over five months.
Meanwhile, PTI reported that the eighth round of Corps Commander-level talks between India and China is likely to take place this week with a focus on carrying forward their discussions on the disengagement process in eastern Ladakh as the region enters the harsh winter season, government sources said.
There was no breakthrough on the disengagement of troops from the friction points during the seventh round of talks on October 12.
