Stalin pays floral tribute to portrait of CM's mother, offer condolences

Chennai, Oct 19 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition and DMK

President M K Stalin today called on Tamil Nadu Chief

Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and personally offered

his condolences for the death of his mother Thavusayammal,

who passed away in Salem last week.

Mr Stalin, accompanied by senior DMK leaders, including

Party General Secretary Duraimurugan, met Mr Palaniswami

at his Greenways Road residence in the city and offered his

condolences.

He also paid floral tributes to a decorated portrait of

Ms Thavusayammal.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi,

Union Ministers and leaders of various political parties have

already expressed their condolences to Mr Palaniswami

following the death of his mother.
