315 new Covid cases, one die in Manipur

Imphal, Oct 19 (UNI) : A man died of Covid while 315 new cases were detected today.
In the past twenty-four hours, 285 persons (149M, 136F) from general population and 30 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID19 positive cases.
The positive cases were from Imphal West (62), Imphal East (79), Thoubal (17), Noney (5), Kangpokpi (2), Kakching (21), Ukhrul (1), Chandel (1), Tamenglong (45), Churachandpur (45), Tengnoupal (5), Senapati (1) and Bishnupur (1). Among the new cases 17 from IW were returnees from other states while the rest were without any significant travel history.
In the last 24 hours, one male aged 53 yrs from Churachandpur expired at District Hospital, Churachandpur. The cumulative number of deaths was 117.
The total number of discharged persons was 172. They were from CAPF (2), Home Isolation (11), JNIMS (2), RIMS (6), Thoubal (7), PR Kakching (2), UNACCO (38), Lamboikhong (69), Senapati (4), DH Chandel (1), RD Wing (22), Sadhbhavna (2), Lanva (2), Jiribam (2) and Bishnupur (2).
The cumulative number of positive cases was 15,778 (General Population — 13,105 and Central Security Personnel - 2,673). The cumulative number of recovered cases was 11,913 (General Population — 9,561 and Central Security Personnel —2,352). The number of active cases was 3,748 (General Population — 3.431 and Central Security Personnel -317). The recovery rate was 75.50 %.
