Chirag Paswan and Tejashwi Yadav may be on different sides of the playing field when it comes to the Bihar elections, but both appear to agree on one point - that voting for Chief Minsiter Nitish Kumar and the Janata Dal (United) can spoil the future of the state. At the Bihar Assembly election looms closer, Lok Janshakti Party leader Chirag Paswan has clashed repeatedly with the BJP-JD(U). Now, Yadav has come out in support of Paswan, criticising the JD(U) chief's behaviour.

Even as ally-turned-rival Chirag Paswan says that he has no animosity with the BJP, the same cannot be said for the party's alliance with the JD(U). While Paswan has repeatedly championed the Prime Minister, even calling himself Modi's Hanuman on one occasion, there is no love lost between him and Nitish Kumar. "We can actually imagine the upcoming five years by looking at the Nitish Kumar's tenure of the last five years. We have to take urgent measures to bring Bihar out of this state of helplessness," he had said recently.

"I believe Bihar CM's stopped envisioning policies and become saturated. He dismisses young leaders, calling them inexperienced, but he himself started as a young activist during JP movement. We're aware too and can think for Bihar. The state's given him 15 years already," the LJP leader had said on another occasion.

While the LJP will not contest seats where the BJP is contesting, it will however fight against the Janata Dal (United). Considering that the two parties are allies, it is not clear how the government formation will be handled if Paswan's party surges ahead.

But if Paswan's behavior had been cause for concern for the Chief Minister, the latest development is perhaps more worrisome. You see, the Mahagathbandhan's chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav has now spoken out, expressing sympathy towards Paswan. He alleged that Kumar's behaviour has been unfair towards Paswan when he needed his father the most.

"What Nitish Kumar Ji did with Chirag Paswan is not good. Chirag Paswan needs his father today more than ever before but Ram Vilas Paswan Ji is not among us and we are sad about it. Nitish Kumar did injustice with Chirag Paswan, his behaviour is unfair," Tejashwi said.
