BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Monday wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla demanding that Shashi Tharoor be removed as chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology (IT). In his three-page letter, Dubey, who has been at loggerheads with Tharoor over several issues lately, alleged that the Congress leader has, for the past couple of days, been tweeting several issues that were discussed in the parliamentary standing committee meeting on October 15. The BJP MP, who is also a member of the panel, said that Tharoor is “violating the confidentiality clause” and demanded that he be removed from the committee with immediate effect.
