BHOPAL: A 37-year-old woman, who was separated from her husband, hanged herself at her father’s home on Sunday. Her father went missing on Thursday and she has been under depression since then. The woman Nirmala Soni, a resident of New Ashoka Garden, had been living with her father for the last one year following a dispute with her husband, who lives in Gwalior. The woman’s brothers live in Kolar and Kolua Khurd areas and they would visit her to meet them. She went into depression after her father went missing as he was the only family member around. Her mother had expired long back, said sub inspector Santosh Sen of Ashoka Garden police station.
Sen said the woman’s brother had visited her on Friday and on Sunday when they came to meet her, she was found hanging. Police said the woman has not left any suicide note. Ashoka Garden police have registered an FIR and have initiated a probe into the matter.
