HISAR: Harsh Mohan Bhardwaj, a former member of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), who hogged limelight when CM Manohar Lal Khattar’s video had gone viral in 2019 in which the CM threatened to behead him, announced on Saturday at Barwala that he was joining the Congress.
He said he was not in the BJP or any other party and when MP Deepender Hooda invited him, he joined Congress.
Maharishi Dadhichi Paramarth Trust had organised a programme to honour Deepender and Congress MLA Kuldeep Vats in Barwala. Bhardwaj, the head of the trust and a former member of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, presented the MP a silver crown at the event and said that he would support him.
Bhardwaj further said it was not a programme to join the Congress but on the request of the MP, he had done so. On the question of displeasure with the BJP, he said he was never a member of the BJP. However, he said the CM was his friend and would remain so.
During the last election campaign when Khattar’Jan Aashirwad Yatra had reached Barwala on September 4, 2019, a video went viral. It showed Khattar atop the yatra bus with Rajya Sabha MP Lt Gen DP Vats and Hisar MP Brijendera Singh. Bhardwaj.
