Central Railway to introduce 225 more services from Monday

MUMBAI: Central Railway (CR) will introduce 225 more services, taking the daily total to 706 from Monday. Western Railway (WR) has been running 700 services since the past one week to ensure social distancing in trains following an increase in commuters.
CR chief public relations officer Shivaji Sutar said, “We are running 481 services. The total will increase to 706 from Monday.” Of 706 services, 499 will be on main line, including 309 slow and 190 fast. On Harbour line, there will be 187 and on trans-harbour 20.
Essential services staff, like state and central government employees, staff of public sector, private, cooperative banks and port employees can travel.
