GURUGRAM: The city on Saturday crossed the 25,000 mark with 271 fresh
Covid-19 cases.
The tally now stands at 25,140 while 322 people recovered from the infection on Saturday taking the total number of recoveries to 22,503. With this, the number of active patients is now 2,445 out of whom 2,251 are under home isolation.
11 patients are currently hospitalised in the dedicated Covid-19 hospitals (DCH), 173 are hospitalised in dedicated Covid-19 health centres (DCHC) and 10 are currently in district Covid care centres.
In the last 24 hours, the health department sent 3,002
samples for testing, which included 785 rapid antigen
tests and 2,217 RT-PCR tests. The health department has sent 3,11,342 samples so far for testing out of which 2,83,200 tested negative.
The Covid death toll has reached 190 in the city. Out of these, 138 had co-morbidities and 52 people had no such conditions. Moreover, the health department has put 3,14,658 people under surveillance in the district out of which 2,74,057 people have completed their surveillance period.
Meanwhile, Gurugram’s neighbouring district
Faridabad reported 159 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, taking the total tally of cases to 22,507. The Covid toll in Faridabad has increased to 238 out of which 193 had co-morbidities.
Haryana saw more recoveries than fresh cases on Saturday, with a total of 1,318 patients getting discharged after treatment, while the count of new cases was 1,148. Six patients died across the state. Low daily death counts have contained the fatality rate at 1.1%.
