Thane, Oct 18 (UNI) As many as 30 patients succumbed to COVID-19 while 1,127 cases were detected here on Saturday, taking this district's pandemic tally near two lakhs, stated a district official on Sunday.
With the new additions in terms of infected individuals and fatality count, the total caseload now stands at 1,99,386 while the death toll has surged to 5,045, he added.
With the highest 47,594 cases, the city of Kalyan is trailed by Thane (43,305), Navi Mumbai (41,973) and Mira Bhayander (21,212).
While, Thane city has recorded the highest 1,099 fatalities followed by Kalyan (946), Navi Mumbai (846) and Mira Bhayander (667).
Out of the total caseload, 1,79,847 people have been cured, surging the recovery rate to 90.20 per cent, he highlighted. The mortality rate stands at 2.53 per cent and presently there are 14,494 active cases under medical supervision, he added.
The distant Palghar district has so far tallied 39,080 cases and 822 fatalities, according to official data.
