Delhi records 3299 fresh Corona cases

Delhi records 3299 fresh Corona cases

New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) The national capital witnessed a spike of 3,299 fresh cases of the Novel Coronavirus during the past 24 hours pushing the city's overall case tally to 3,31,017, the state health bulletin said on Sunday evening.

Active case load on city has increased by 408 as since Saturday, and the number currently stands at 23,292, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile, 2,863 patients were cured/discharged during the past one day, taking the total number of recoveries across the city so far to 3,01,716.

However, with 28 more lives claimed by the virus spread in the same duration, the fatalities till date due to the COVID 19 in the city have now reached 6,009, the government data update said.

So far there have been 39,90,438 COVID tests done in the city.

Currently, there are 13742 COVID patients under home isolation across the city who are mostly asymptomatic or the ones with very mild symptoms.

Containment zones in the city are 2,770 as on Sunday, which are 19 more as compared to Saturday.

City's COVID death rate based on the past ten days data in the city is presently at 1.18 per cent, while the city's

overall recovery rate presently stands at 91.14 per cent, the government data said.
