Gorakhpur: Bringing laurels to her family and her district, Kushinagar’s 17-year-old girl, Akansha, secured full marks in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), 2020. However, owing to NEET’s tie-breaking policy, Akansha stood second in the country as the other candidate who scored full marks turned out to be older to her.
Akansha wants to become a neurosurgeon, and through research in the field, wants to make neurosurgery affordable. She also wishes to provide her services to the people of her village. She is inspired by PM Modi and wants to meet CM Yogi.
She is a resident of Abhnayakpur village of Kasya block in Kushinagar district. Her mother Ruchi Singh is a government school teacher and father Rajendra Pratap Rao is a retired Indian Air Force sergeant.
