MP CM reviews steps to fill posts

Bhopal, Oct 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan solicited inputs on Friday from his officers regarding action underway at the Professional Examination Board and departmental level for filling up vacant posts, official sources said.
During a meeting, the senior politician reviewed the ongoing drive. Information pertaining to the Jail, Health, Agriculture and Home departments was provided. Preparations are complete for a recruitment exam vis-à-vis 6,800 constables; 2,249 vacancies in the Health Department and 800 in Agriculture. A total 52 sub-engineer positions and 240 others will be filled besides induction of 282 jail guards.

Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and senior bureaucrats of various departments were among those present.

Bhopal, Oct 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday directed that the crackdown be continued against those trading in intoxicants, it was officially learnt.
“The perpetrators should be placed under arrest and drug dealers crushed,” the senior politician underlined while reviewing – at his residence – action initiated vis-à-vis the demises caused in Ujjain where law-enforcement personnel were placed under suspension for negligence.

MP Govt looking at procuring 40 lakh MT paddy

Bhopal, Oct 16 (UNI) Paddy procurement of approximately 40 lakh metric tonnes is expected in Madhya Pradesh and preparations are underway in this regard.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday reviewed groundwork for acquirement of paddy, jowar and bajra. It was informed that paddy acquirement will commence in Gwalior and Chambal divisions on October 27 whereas the date for other divisions shall be decided in the near future.

Bhopal, Oct 16 (UNI) Emphasising that there is no place whatsoever for criminal elements in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made it abundantly clear on Friday that uncompromising action will be initiated against lawbreakers irrespective of their stature, it was officially learnt.
“Prime accused Abhishek – who assaulted an auto-rickshaw driver in Jabalpur – has been placed under arrest and steps taken against him under the National Security Act,” the senior politician averred while praising the work of the Police Superintendent and his team.
