754 J&K police personnel promoted in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 17 (UNI) Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, range on Saturday promoted 754 police personnel to next grade, a police spokesman said Saturday evening.
He said IGP Vijay Kumar promoted 49 Head Constables (HCs) to the rank of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) and 705 Selection Grade Constables (SgCts) to the rank of Head Constable.
Mr Kumar has felicitated these newly promoted officers/officials and their families and has expressed hope that these newly promoted officials will strive to work hard for the interests of general public, maintenance of peace and tranquillity in the Union Territory of J&K.

All arrangement made by govt to ensure smooth procurement of Kharif crops: CM

Chandigarh, Oct 17 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that all necessary arrangements have been made by the State Government so as to ensure that the procurement process of Kharif crops is done in a smooth and systematic manner. For the first time, government procurement of maize is being done at the Minimum Support Price. Earlier, the purchase of millet was also done at the Minimum Support Price. So far, Rs 1000 crore have been released by the government as procurement payment for paddy and other crops, he said.
