Spirited Navratris despite COVID in HP

Shimla, Oct 17 (UNI) The auspicious Navratri festival began in the state with main Hindu Shrines witnessing huge footfall of devotees amidst tight security and special preparations in place on Saturday.
Following sudden spurt in the number of tourists following COVID protocol , the state police beefed up patrolling and number of posts around the major 35 temples trusts in the state, temple authorities said.
No one is allowed to crowd the sanctum sanctorum and special prayers and pooja are being organised
for the visitors maintaining social distancing in open places in wake of Covid pandemic.
Among the shrines in state, Chintpurni Temple in Una saw large number of worshippers coming .The temple which opened for the public on September 10 remained closed for nearly six months since March 25 this year.
Shri Naina Devi Temple in Bilaspur , Jawalamukhi temple in Kangra district, Hanuman temple Jakhoo Shimla
Shiv Mandir Baijnath in Kangra district, Shri Mahamaya Bala Sunderi Ji Trilokpur Mandir in Sirmaur,
Bababalaknath and Durga Matta Temple Hatkoti in Jubbal in Shimla, Chamunda Nandikeshwar Mandir in Kangra district, Tara Devi Temple at Shimla district Brajeshwar Devi Temple Kangra , Shri Sankatmochan Temple Shimla , Shri Makhal Mandir Baijnath Bhimal Kali Group temple in Shimla, Hanogi Mata Mandir Aut in Mandi, Shiv Bharati Shanidave Temple Hamipur remained highly crowded.
Similarly devotees were lined up in Shahtalai Temple Bilaspur, Shulani Mata Mandir Solan and Durga Temple Sharai Koti Teh Rampur in Shimla, Dattatreya Swamy Temple Duttnagar Shimla district and Mahamrityunjaya Temple Mandi town in Himachal Pradesh.
State Language, Culture and Arts department which looks after 40 major Hindu Temple trusts had also sent an advisory to all deputy commissioners and temple officers of shrines asking them to organises Navratri festivals which include Yajana or Worship in small groups of ten to 15 people and that too in the open places in temple complex following SOPs issued by the state Government.
Security has been tightened on the entry points and in and around the shrines and to keep check on flow of tourists and prevent stampede in the religious shrines.
The officer concerned said no cultural group has sought permission to organise Ram Leela performance in the town and district so far. There is no information that any Ram Leela troupe is currently performing it owing to Covid, he added.

All arrangement made by govt to ensure smooth procurement of Kharif crops: CM

Chandigarh, Oct 17 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that all necessary arrangements have been made by the State Government so as to ensure that the procurement process of Kharif crops is done in a smooth and systematic manner. For the first time, government procurement of maize is being done at the Minimum Support Price. Earlier, the purchase of millet was also done at the Minimum Support Price. So far, Rs 1000 crore have been released by the government as procurement payment for paddy and other crops, he said.
