Provide adequate beds with essential medical facilities in hospitals: minister

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 15 (UNI) Maharashtra Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh said on Thursday that as it is mandatory for hospitals to provide beds with oxygen and ventilator facilities, all hospitals in the district should have adequate beds with essential medical facilities.
While speaking at a meeting held to review remedies for novel coronavirus at the collectorate here, he stressed on strengthening the treatment facilities to reduce the number of corona patients in the state.

Emphasis on availability of adequate beds in the hospital and also immediate availability of essential treatment facilities to the infected patients is the most important factor in preventing deaths due to Covid infection, the minister asserted.
He also emphasised on special care to avoid the patient's death.
Mr Deshmukh called for creating awareness among the people about the precautions to be taken, what to do and what not to do in the future.
People should be guided on this under the 'My Family, My Responsibility' campaign, he added.
