Shaurya Chakkar awardee shot dead in Amritsar

Amritsar, Oct 16 (UNI) Some unidentified armed assailants shot dead Comrade Balwinder Singh at his house in Bhikhiwind town in Tarn Taran district on Friday morning.

His brother Ranjit Singh said that, Balwinder was at home at about 0700 hrs when some persons armed with fire weapons intruded into the house and fired on him indiscriminately, killing Balwinder on the spot.
