38-year-old CA from Thane missing since October 11

THANE: A 38-year-old Chartered Accountant (CA) from Thane, who told his family he was going to Titwala, has been reported missing. Identified as Charai resident Sagar Deshpande, he has been missing since October 11. The police launched a manhunt.
Police said Deshpande had lost his job due to the lockdown. He used to work for a travel firm that is being investigated by the city economic offences wing (EOW) for a multi-crore scam. He came in for questioning last week in connection to the case, and had been summoned again on Tuesday. Deshpande is not an accused in the case.
