Thursday's ban on imports of air conditioners (AC), both split and window, by the government saw stocks of Voltas, Blue Star, Johnson Control-Hitachi Air Conditioning and Havells gain up to 5 per cent on Friday. Analysts say, these companies will benefit from the latest development.

Domestic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) will also benefit, a reason why Amber Enterprises surged over 9 per cent on the bourses.
