Bihar election 2020: Congress bets on Sharad Yadav's daughter and Shatrughan Sinha's son

Amid the fray of candidates, the Congress split the election mark into 24 more seats but did not make an official announcement. Among those who have been nominated are Subhashini, daughter of former Union Minister Sharad Yadav, and Luv Sinha, son of film actor and former Union Minister Shatrughan Sinha. Senior Congress leader Kripanath Pathak is also among the ticket takers.

Sharad Yadav's daughter Subhashini has been nominated from Bihariganj in Madhepura district. For the second phase, Luv Sinha, son of Shatrughan Sinha, has been made Congress candidate from Bankipur. Congress got 25 seats in the second phase and 24 seats in the third phase.

Sonia rebuke

The screening committee met again under the direction of Congress President Sonia Gandhi before handing over the election trail for the second phase. Sources reveal that the state Congress leaders have also been reprimanded in the high court for the candidates selected for the ticket.

Vijay Shankar's seat changed

Vijender Chaudhary from Muzaffarpur and Bahubali Kali Pandey from Kuchaykot in the second phase have been fielded. The party has also given tickets to its MLAs who are to be elected in the second phase. These include Dr. Ashok Kumar from Rosda, Amita Bhushan from Begusarai, Ajit Sharma from Bhagalpur, and Madan Mohan Tiwari from Bettiah. Majhi's sitting MLA Vijay Shankar Dubey has been sent to Maharajganj this time by the High Command, as the Manjhi seat has gone to the account of the Left. Congress ticket contenders are disappointed after landing candidates from Delhi-Mumbai.

Congress has given a ticket to Rakesh Kumar alias Pappu Singh, nephew of former Governor Nikhil Kumar from Lalganj and Pratima Kumari Das from Rajapakar in the second phase. E. Sanjeev Singh's name is stamped from Vaishali. Apart from this, Youth Congress state president Gunjan Patel from Nalanda, Chandan Yadav from Beldaur, Chhatrapati Yadav from Khagaria, Anunay Kumar Singh from Paru, and Ravi Golden from Harnaut have been given tickets.

However, Congress has not yet announced the ticket distribution officially.
