HISAR: Haryana government, on Thursday, completed rehabilitation of displaced families of the Mirchpur caste violence case of 2010 in Hisar district by allotting plots to 102 of them.
Krishna Bedi, political secretary to chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, deputy speaker of Haryana assembly Ranbir Singh Gangwa, Hisar MLA Kamal Gupta, Hisar mayor Gautam Sardana and BJP district unit chief Captain Bhupendra Singh gave possession letter of plots near Dhondur under the rehabilitation plan of Rs 4.56 crore for displaced families of Mirchpur.
“A total of 258 plots will be given to Mirchpur’s displaced families in Deendayal Puram, a residential area in Dhondur village. Here, community buildings, roads and other basic facilities will be developed on the lines of sectors of Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran,” Bedi said.
In addition to currently allotted land, the process of giving two acres of land for various needs like temple, Kheraand crematorium ground for displaced people will also be taken up, he said.
Addressing a programme organised in the district auditorium of the mini-secretariat, the political secretary to CM said the horrific memory of Mirchpur is still fresh in his mind. It seemed that no one would be spared, he said.
