FALL RIVER -- Fall River police are investigating an incident last week in which a woman was allegedly attacked for displaying "Trump" flags on her car.

On Oct. 8, the Fall River Police Department received several 911 calls related to an assault and battery in the area of South Main and Hall streets.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was physically assaulted by two women for having “Trump” flags on her vehicle, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing, police say.

The suspects were last seen driving a gray Nissan Altima.
