UP: Woman allegedly raped on gunpoint in Auraiyya

Auraiyya, Oct 15 (UNI) A woman was allegedly raped on gunpoint while she had gone to relieve herself in the Bidhuna area here, police sources said on Thursday.
A case has been registered into the matter.
According to sources, the woman, a resident of the Bidhuna area, has furnished a written complaint at the police station that her house is situated outside the village while her husband works in Delhi.
It has been alleged that she had gone to relieve herself in a millet farm near her house at around 2000 hrs on Monday. Meanwhile, Sintu, a youth hailing from the village, arrived at the spot with a country-made pistol and allegedly raped her.
As she started screaming, one Amit, who was passing from there came to the spot. However, Sintu threatened them with dire consequences if they told anyone and fled from the spot.
Kotwali Inspector Rathore said that police teams have been formed to search for the accused.
