"We will pass our order accordingly," a bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde said.

The Supreme Court today reserved its order, after hearing arguments from all parties, including petitioners, respondents, Uttar Pradesh Government, state police and a batch of interveners.

The Apex Court will pass its order as to who should monitor the CBI probe - Allahabad High Court or the Supreme Court and after completion of probe, trial should be transferred to Delhi or will remain in Uttar Pradesh.

The Apex Court will also decide whether UP police or CRPF should provide security to victim’s family members, witnesses.

Appearing for the Uttar Pradesh DGP, advocate Harish Salve submitted that if the apex court so feels, it could order the CRPF to provide security to victim’s family. But please record that it is no reflection on UP police, Salve said.

The Uttar Pradesh police submitted to the Apex Court the detail of security being provided to the victim's family members.

Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta on behalf of UP requested the Supreme Court to monitor the investigation agreeing with plea of counsel for victim’s family. The counsel Seema Kushwaha, appearing for the victim’s family members, submitted to the Apex Court and requested it to transfer the trial from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi.
