Stock market update: 30 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Around 30 stocks climbed to touch their 52-week highs on NSE in Thursday's session.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were Asian Paints, Hero MotoCorp, Infosys, IL&FS Investment Managers, JK Cement, Lakshmi Machine Work, Ambuja Cements, Alpa Laboratories,8K Miles Software.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 264.05 points down at 11707 on Thursday on account of selling in frontline blue-chip counters.

Overall, 8 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 42 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

In the Nifty 50 index, NTPC, Indian Oil Corp, Hero MotoCorp, GAIL and JSW Steel were among top gainers, while HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finance, Infosys and ICICI Bank were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 959.71 points down at 39835.03. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Metals - Ferrous, Mining, Textiles and Retail sectors, while selling were visible in Auto, Trading, Agro Processing, Services and Telecommunications sectors.
