Claiming that almost 80 per cent of hotels in the state are at full occupancy as of now, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Thursday said the government has asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to take a decision on charter flights as early as possible.
Speaking to reporters in Panaji, he said the people of Goa will have to live with COVID-19 for another three to four months. “The COVID-19 pandemic curve has flattened in the state. It is bound to flatten further. We will have to live with COVID for another 3-4 months. After that, things will be clear,”
he said.
Sawant, who is also the state’s Education Minister, said the government has started consultations with stakeholders with regard to recommencing schools. “The report will be submitted to the government shortly,”
he said.
