NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: Gautam Budh Nagar on Wednesday reported 139
new cases of Covid-19. The total count of
Covid patients in the district has gone up to15, 327.
Among them, 1,528 patients are undergoing treatment at present while 13,738 have recovered. The number of people who have died due to the infection have increased to 61 after the another elderly patient aged about 70 at L-3 Sharda Hospital.
Meanwhile, a total of 149 fresh
cases of novel coronavirus were reported on Wednesday and with this, the district’s total tally rose to 16,581. Along with this, 237 patients were discharged after getting cured.
Altogether, 15,077 people have been discharged so far. At present, 1,424 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals and home isolation in the district. So far, 80 Covid deaths have been reported.
The recovery rate of Ghaziabad stands at 90.9% while the case fatality rate is 0.48%.
On Wednesday, a 51-year-old ward member posted at MMG District Hospital succumbed to Covid-19 at a private Hospital in Noida.
According to the health officials, he had tested positive for Covid around 15 days back and was initially admitted to Navin Hospital in Ghaziabad. He was shifted to the private hospital in Noida after his condition deteriorated. However, this death is yet to be added to the district tally.
