The Superstar fans took the cue and flooded Twitter heaping praises on their idol for spreading the awareness this hashtag #Section105 trended nationwide for hours together.

'Superstar' Rajinikanth reached out to the Madras High Court to seek remission on the property tax over his wedding hall Raghavendra Mandapam in Kodambakkam and restraining the Chennai Corporation from taking a fine.
This he did in a dashing way like one of his cinemas, his lawyer Vijayan Subramaniam cited Section 105 of the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act 1919 that states that those with a property that has been inactive for over 30 days can seek a remission of 50 percent of the tax amount.
While the tax collectors argued that they were unaware of such a provision.

Some fans commented that this the first step of 'Thalaivar' (leader) to clean the 'rotten system'.

Many compared this episode with 'Thalapathy' Vijay starrer Sarkar where in a scene Vijay will be seen talking about section 49P which provides for the voters the right to reclaim their voting rights if it had been misused by miscreants.

Rajini's fans took upon spreading this message in the social media to protect innocent people and pulled the leg of government saying that they would lose the tax money which is why the case has been dismissed.

However with everything said and done the tax collectors still maintained their previous stance that the actor would be benefited with a discount if he duly pays the tax before October 15 (today) or he will be liable for a fine.
