After his movie 'Khaali Peeli' released in drive-in cinemas in Guragon and in a few other parts of the world, Ishaan Khatter is now waiting for his 'A Suitable Boy' releases in India. The BBC original web show is slated to release on Netflix on October 23.
Ahead of its release, Ishaan Khatter has released two BTS pictures as a birthday surprise for his director Mira Nair. In one of the photos, both Ishaan and Mira are seen adoring the camera, while in another, Ishaan was mollycoddled by Nair.
"Happy birthday Mira di. May you always have the lust for life and extraordinary drive to tell stories. Picture two is me being mollycoddled by her after being mauled and tossed around for hours. All in service of the scene thankfully," he wrote alongside the pictures.
'A Suitable Boy' has released in UK and Ireland and has been widely lauded there. Ishaan would be seen in the role of a man named Maan who is head-over-heels in love with an older woman, played by Tabu.
Mira Nair, who has directed cult films like 'The Namesake' and 'Monsoon Wedding' among a few, turned 63-year-old today. Her last film was the American biographical drama 'Queen of Katwe' that released in 2016.
