India's first Oscar winner, costume designer Bhanu Athaiya passed away in Mumbai. She was 91. Her daughter Radhika confirmed that she passed away peacefully in her sleep. Bhanu was diagnosed with a tumour in her brain Eight years ago, and was bedridden for the last three years. The veteran's last rites took place at the Chandanwadi crematorium in Mumbai. Bhanu won the Oscar for Best Costume Design for Lord Richard Attenborough's 'Gandhi' in 1983, and more updates from the world of entertainment...
