Govt sources play down IMF's projections of India slipping below Bangladesh on per capita GDP. Sources say India's GDP in terms of purchasing power parity was 11 times more than Bangladesh in 2019. Rahul Gandhi had taken a dig at the government over IMF growth projections. IMF projections show Bangladesh closing in on India in terms of per capita GDP this year. Govt sources also say that per capita GDP under Modi govt has increased 30.7% from Rs 83,091 in FY15 to Rs 1,08,620 in FY20.
